Astral Trials: Aspect of Pluto is a 2D top-down puzzle videogame. You will play as the "Aspect of Pluto", a wizard who has the ability to cast an elemental projectile. Your objective is to complete the different puzzles to complete the Astral Trials.
I worked as a Game Designer, creating and balancing core mechanics, puzzles, and UI. Additionally, I contributed to the visual design of the game by helping create tiles and extra visual assets.
We developed this project in our free time to gain Unity experience and to create portfolio pieces.
Designed a unique core mechanic based on a projectile that follows the cursor, with multiple properties: fire (illuminates), ice (freezes sprites), and electricity (activates mechanisms).
Created and balanced a variety of puzzles built around the core mechanic.
Designed the User Interface (UI) to support clarity and usability.
Worked on User Experience (UX) and progression design to ensure accessibility and challenge balance.
Contributed to the visual design by creating tiles and sprites.
